A fun cake decorating workshop suitable for beginners and more — learn how to decorate a cake like a professional. You'll fill and crumb-coat a square sponge cake, cover it with sugarpaste, and cover and finish the cake board; decorate the cake with a simple design around the sides and top, incorporating flowers and other decorative details; learn how to make large vintage-style sugar roses, buds and leaves and arrange them on the cake; and model a simple sugarpaste dog to finish the design. Fully inclusive — 7 hours tuition (including a 30-minute break) and everything you need to take away a beautifully decorated cake. Level: Beginner to Intermediate.

The emphasis is on having fun with this introduction to carved novelty cakes. We'll learn how to carve a sponge cake into a simple shape, cover and decorate it, plus some additional modelled effects and decorations. Level: Beginner to Intermediate.

These are sugar flower courses for beginners to learn how to create the flower out of sugar. Courses vary from two sessions over two weeks, or just one session. If you book more than one course you'll qualify for a discount — a great course to attend with a friend for a night out. Level: Beginner.

This course is suitable for beginners. The flowers are wedding-cake style, suitable for adding the finishing touches to your cake. Create beautiful sugar flowers including: a wired peony; unwired vintage-style roses; wired and unwired leaves; wired and unwired filler flowers; and berries. At the end we'll colour and dust our flowers and leaves and assemble them onto a dummy cake to take home. 6 hours tuition. Level: Beginner.

This course covers basic piping techniques with royal icing, such as: piping borders and scrolls, loops, dots and drops; piping a basic inscription; and piping and flood-decorating cookies with royal icing. No previous experience necessary. 2.5 hours tuition. Level: Beginner.

The Improvers cake decorating course is suitable for anyone looking to improve their skills and techniques. Fully inclusive — everything you need to take away a beautifully decorated cake. The scheduled session is Back to Basics: Ganache & Sharp Edges; a Woodland Friends class is also offered, working on a deep cake using a new technique of buttercream combined with sugarpaste decorative detailing. Level: Improver.

Fully inclusive — 2.5 hours tuition and everything you need to take away a beautifully decorated cake. There's no age restriction, but this course is ideal for children from approx 7 years. Please note: this is an adult and child course only. Level: Beginner.

A fun cake decorating workshop suitable for absolute beginners — learn how to decorate a cake like a professional. Fully inclusive — 2.5 hours tuition and everything you need to take away a beautifully decorated cake. Ideal for children from approx 12 years old. A parent or guardian will be required to stay on the premises for the duration of the course. Level: Beginner.

This course is suitable for those competent at covering cakes with sugarpaste, as the focus is on finishing cakes to a wedding-cake standard and the decorative techniques involved. It's particularly suitable for students who have previously completed their PME Professional Diploma modules, and those who want to move into making wedding cakes. On this course we'll complete a 2-tier stacked wedding cake using one cake and a dummy tier, decorated with a piping detail plus decorative flowers and leaves. 7 hours tuition. Level: Intermediate.
